UAD Meters Stop Working

Hey all!
I've just installed Platinum yesterday, and am loving it so far!
There's one (huge for me) issue that Platinum unfortunately hasn't resolved, and that's the GUI of several UAD plugins (commonly Precision Limiter, Cambridge EQ) will stop responding after a minute or two of use.
This has been happening since 8.5, and whatever version of the UAD software was around back then...
The plugins still process the audio as expected, but meters freeze and dials do not respond.
My suspicions are that this is NOT a Sonar issue, but a UAD issue; over on the UAD forum other users on different DAWs report the same problems... I just wondered if anyone here has experienced similar issues and if you've found any way to resolve it?  Conflicting VSTs?  A certain video card?

    I get the same issue, though it doesn't happen with too much frequency. I can often go for days without an occurrence. In my case, it started with x3 or x2, I don't recall it ever happening with 8.5. I've seen it on the Cambridge, 1176's and Shadow Hills comp.
    Only fix I've found is to restart Sonar.

    Ya unfortunately for me it happens every time; restarting Sonar temporarily fixes it, but it's a real pain to have to restart every time you want to check your compression levels or read the meters!
    I've filed a bug report with UAD but I'm definitely losing faith after all these years...
