UAD Neve 1073 or 1081?

UAD Neve 1073 or 1081?

Aside from the obvious frequency differences, is there a reason y'all prefer either the 1073 or 1081?

I've never used a 1081 in real life but have worked on consoles with the 1073's.

I've tried these plugs ages ago, so my demo period ran out with UAD. But I want to take advantage of the current sale...

Just can't make up my mind. I know I'll get a little more flexibility with the 1081, but the 1073's always sounded so damn good to me.

    I've got both and I mainly seem to end up using the 1081 - just personal preference and no reflection on the abilities of either.

    Is your preference based on the sound character of the plugin or the added freq bands?

    The added frequency bands probably allow me to more easily get the result I am after - I think they both sound good but due to my inadequacies at the technical side, anything that makes things easier is what tends to get used!!
