UAD PLUGS GREYED OUT IN PRESET LAYOUT

Has anyone experienced this:  about 2/3 of my UAD plugs are greyed out in my own plugin preset configuration.  I could go and delete the greyed out ones and reinsert them, but that's a lot of work that I shouldn't have to do.  I updated X3 and UAD to latest versions and still nothing.  Any suggestions?
