Hi there
FIrstly apologies for not checking back to this thread, having a 5 month yr old daughter will do that :)
Jack, I don't want to strap it accross the drum bus, the plug is designed to work accross individual tracks, the effect of it summing gives the feel of tube saturation or at least that is what UAD say, and so far I find it sounds pretty amazing.
Frank I am using it in 64 bit mode, but without any bridge of any description, so either UAD have caught up or I am very lucky. HOwever it might be that you're right in 64 the plugs won't open when double clicked.
The weird thing is that in Windows 7 the plugs all appear in a little icon down on the bar at the bottom of the screen and you can minimize maximize them from there, however this still does not solve the problem, it may be that UAD have skinned them with there own bridge and that explains the behaviour. If i could just put them in tab view that would be great but no joy.
So basically I am not doing anything stupid, I either have to try 32bit or find a workaround (so far I have done it by saving the settings as a preset and giving that preset a name ie Snare Top that correspones with whats on the track, I still can't get them to pop up when i double click on them in console or track view, but at least when i click on the icon at the bottom of the screen I can look through them until I get to the one I want, its not really ideal but its the best I have at th emoment.
ANyone using X1 with UAD does this problem exist there, it might be a reason to finally push me into upgrading.
