UK - Free 50p donation for Haiti appeal

I get a weekly newsletter from Martin Lewis's MoneySavingExpert.com - some of the savings they turn up are excellent, and the advice pages are well put together - there's no subscription, it's a free service.

I just received this week's newsletter and he's offering to donate 50p for the Haiti Disaster Relief appeal for every new person who signs up before midnight Saturday.

It's a great site anyway so I'd recommend anyone joins it for their own benefit - and all you need do is enter an e-mail address, there are no personal details required; I know it's only 50p but they all add up

most probably Ed, it's a UK site . I'd like to read the small print though..

I don't want it to be an open invite for chuggers to annoy me..

better still donate direct to the D E C

Come off it Paul, do you think I'd post this if I wasn't pretty certain about my facts - I've subscribed for quite a while now and I've never received anything other than the newsletter.

Do that also, but why not guarantee an extra 50p - you can cancel your subscription next week!

If you do subscribe, be sure to check out the Amazon 'Bargain Basement' link - you'll be pleased you did.

I can vouch for this site too, as I've been a subscriber for a while.

It's well worth joining anyway for all the useful advice.

I'll third the motion from Steve.  The site's been around for several years and can save you a bunch.  I don't think Lewis has any particular agenda other than that.

He could do with a Meerkat though to help spread the word!  Love the new 'history' add.  Simples.
