Most of those programs (excuse me, programmes) eventually make their way to YouTube. I guess the BBC and the UK government figure that because theirs is a service paid for by British citizens, they're the only ones who should benefit. Unlike, say Comedy Central, also a paid service, which posts shows the next day. Or PBS, a government-funded network. Or CBS, a commercial network, that posts Saturday Night Live. Come to think of it, nobody restricts access to content like the BBC does. OK, the Chinese government.

Hi,

Yeah ... bummer ... no see for us yet here in the US.

The BBC is so stupid ... I can not use my Visa card to purchase things in England ... the card keeps getting rejected. It's the only place I can not purchase anything! And the Amazon folks in America, don't seem to be interested in fixing that ... and I bet they will say next the Euro is the problem!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

I've bought things from UK-based vendors, but only through PayPal. I've bought stuff from Belarus, Finland, Holland, Israel, China, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain and France. All via PayPal.

Of course you could consider the BBC a subscription service, may be the first media subscription service. The collection is via the licence fee paid by every UK household with a TV.

There seems to be a missed business opportunity making iPlayer available outside the UK for a fee.

Mind you many Brits in Dubai just used a VPN.

Often you find you can't buy music downloads from other countries. I had tried to purchase some tracks from the US that were not available in the UK but got blocked.

It's called the hypocrisy of a "world economy". And the english worry that their economy stinks!

Just like London did in the old days ... you use more talcum powder and other makeup to hide it!
