USB 3.0 Device not showing up in available devices ?
Just added a Presonus Studio 192, USB 3.0 device as my audio device. It is assigned in Windows 7 as my audio device, but Sonar Platinum does not list it.. says there are no audio devices available. Any ideas on how to get it added to the device list in platinum? (all drivers and Sonar versions are current) Thx all ; )

Tried different USB ports, also tried using a USB 2.0 cable and plugging into a 2.0 port.. still not showing up.

Hi. Have you tried to do a firmware update? Try disabling it as Windows default sound device? That is all I had.. All the best.

Yeah I have it assigned as the audio in & out for windows, and it's in the Device manager. Sonar just isn't seeing it.

If something else has taken control over it, SONAR won't see it.

You might have to remove the check box for whatever device is set in Sonar, for it to see the other, but yeah if using ASIO driver mode and also either sharing with other applications or having it set as the default Windows audio device, it may well be hijacked and then unavailable to Sonar. (I think I had something along those lines eons ago - might be worth a quick try). Or, maybe I just need a lot more coffee.... :) Bob Bone

When you say it's not available in Sonar, is it actually not on the list at all or is it on the list but not selectable? Asio only lets you use one device at once and Sonar respects that. If this is the first time you've tried to use the 192 with Sonar then presumably you were using a different interface before... I found when I replaced my Firestudio2626 with the 192 I had to manually remove all the FS2626 assignments in Sonar before I could select the 192 as the interface. This will apply when changing any interface. Sonar is rightly holding onto the existing settings.

The 192 isn't showing up on the device list at all. I've unchecked the Motu device I was using completely and even pulled the PCI-E card from the PC.. still not listed at all. I installed Studio one 3 just to see if the 192 would work with that, and it says it "can't initialize the 192.. please check your hardware configuration."
