USB compressed mic

I just bought MC3,and too bought a compressed USB mic as well.I've been reading some of these forums, there seems to not be positve feedback on these mics.Should I return it,is it gonna be a hassle? I have a normal mic as well,is that a better option?

I'm not sure what you mean be a "compressed" mic. As far as using a USB mic, I've tried helping people get those to work, but have not been successful. They're designed for teleconferencing or presentations, not for recording quality music. You decide if you want to return it or not, but I would never recommend that anyone buy one of those.

When you say you have a "normal" mic, you'll have to be more specific about it before I could say that it is a better option or not. There are still a lot of different kinds of mics that someone might consider "normal". Is it a condenser mic, a dynamic mic, a small condenser that came with your computer?
