Ua-25 EX Driver Crashes in Windows 7 64 BIT
I just got a new computer running Windows 7 64 BIT. I have an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T. When I try to install the drivers, I get a blue screen of death right after it prompts me to plug in my UA-25 EX.
This is literally brand new computer just a few hours old. I installed Kaspersky Anti Virus 11, Fl Studio 9.1, Spectrasonics Trilian, and then tried to set up the UA-25 EX.
At one point after a reboot, when I attempted to re install it again, it picked up where it left off and the driver did successfully install and I was able to use my Korg X50 in FL Studio and transmit MIDI data with it. The problem is that my system kept getting blue screens of death in random areas when clicking on things like Internet Explorer. As soon as I uninstalled the driver, all my blue screen issues are gone, so it is definitely something with the driver/compatibility of my system.
I can get the UA25 EX to work in the non-Advanced mode. I have my Korg X-50 plugged into it and I can play it and hear it through my speakers. When in FL Studio, using ASIO4ALL drivers, I can hear the instruments/projects I have. BUT, it will not recognize the UA-25 EX so I cannot use my Korg X-50. No midi information is transferring.
It may be of importance to note that the UA-25-EX works perfeclyt on my Windows XP system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I bought this computer just to make music, and now I feel like I wasted $1500. Or at least whatever it may cost to buy a different sound card and see if that works.
Thanks very much.
