    What exactly is the problem?

    Nothing exports?

Missing tracks? If it's missing tracks on export, I'd check if you're using Simple Instrument Tracks. In X1 (and maybe even X2) I found they do not export every time. When I used Insert->SoftSynth and then had an audio and midi tracks in the SoftSynth folder the export worked.

Just to be clear, simple instrument tracks are where the MIDI and Audio on on the same track, not separate.

Yesterday I exported about 22 projects without a problem.  The computer sat all night and I started again today.  We tracked 4 more songs and tried to export and got the following error   "An Internal Error occured while processing mixdown.  The operation was unsuccessful."  I tried all of the 4 new projects-same error  I reloaded some from yesterday that had no problems-same error when trying to export those.  The problem/error just started for no apparent/obvious reason.   I havent changed anything in my process as far as recording or exporting.  The project is   48/24  being exported as  44100/16  wave  Entire Mix  Stereo  Triangular  No Preset  We didnt have any storms or power surges last night  After finding this error,  I did try restarting the computer,  Complete power off of computer and everything connected including interface,  left power off for a few minutes and brought it back up,  Problem still here,  cant export-above listed error in consistently popping up at export

Is it just one of the projects or all four? Can you export a previous project that was successful in the past? Are you running low on disk space? Maybe a defrag is needed? Memory check?

Just tossing out ideas to try. If it's just these new tracks do they have anything in common with each other like plug ins/effects? If so try removing them and export again to see if those are what are buggering things up.

If you can't figure it out might as well give Cake a call to see if they can help. That would make me very angry. Good luck.

    Mornin'  Beepster!

    Nah,
All 4 Projects do the same error
Brought up a few of the 22 from the day before that exported good and,  same error

As far as Hardware-Its all new (within the last month or so HDDs) 2  2TB Barracudas and 1 500 GB Hdd,  Havent even scratched the surface of any of them yet.

Couldnt find a way around it even trying the ones that did work before

Sorry about the crammed up mess in the post above LOL

Hmm... okay so defrag is out and disk space is good. How about the RAM? Not sure how important RAM is for export but I'm assuming it could bork something up especially if there are Plugs in use.

Have you tried turning off Fast Bounce while exporting? Just a shot in the dark.

It has worked flawlessly since replacing allot of parts and reloading about a month ago

The error just started for who knows what reason.

Im not sure if its a X1 corruption or the interface

    or   ???

Everything appears normal outside of Exporting

Another shot in the dark but maybe run CCleaner? Might clean up some broken bits and bytes. You could try uninstalling/reinstalling your interface drivers and if it really keeps futzing about maybe reinstall X1. I'd call support before reinstalling X1 though. Cheers.

I had weird happenings like that and then the project would start
playing loud and seemed to be at a different speed and the parts seemed
to be out of time...and it wouldn't stop until I forced X2 down.
Happened three different times and then when I exported it would play weird
like that for a few seconds and then it would play the exported stereo .wav.

I re-ran the audio-configuration and it stopped doing that. Something, somehow
    was changing the configuration file.

At work and don't remember all the lines but I did notice the first two were changed
after it ran. Best I remember they were "0" and had been changed to something, somehow.

Havent never had experience with any types of cleaners-Hmmmmm

I was able to keep working as normal as far as creating new projects, recording, etc,  just cant export without the fault.

I wonder if a recovery back to one of my earlier dates might do something?

Ive got the OS on C:Drive
My Projects on the next Drive
    Backups on another Drive

I dont think the project would be effected by a recovery would they?

I'd back up the projects created since the last recovery to an external drive or something first but I was going to mention maybe trying a recovery point from the last time it worked. You said you haven't really done anything to the system though so IDK if that'll do anything.

CCleaner is cool but be sure you understand how it works before messing around with it because it can screw things up if used improperly. You just want to run the cleaner and it'll go through looking for errors and fix them. You can get at CNET. Might want to back up the system before hand just in case (but don't overwrite any previous recovery points because you might want to access those). IDK... this is a weird one and it might be best to just give support a call. They should be open now. Cheers.

Looks like you have a FTU in your signature ... I'd try reloading the drivers.

When you open up the driver installation file, it will ask you if you want to repair the drivers. Try that. That has actually bailed me out of a couple of situations.

I had weird happenings like that and then the project would start
playing loud and seemed to be at a different speed and the parts seemed
to be out of time...and it wouldn't stop until I forced X2 down.
I had a weird problem, kind of similar to yours. I PM'd a someone about it because I thought I was losing my marbles.

I did a Midi Piano part on Saturday and froze it. It was the length of the whole song, not just a little 10 second clip.

I'd been mixing and remixing the track for several days.

On Tuesday (IIIRC) ... I open up the project, and the Piano track was all screwed up. Random notes and chords here and there throughout the song were messed up. Kind of like someone highlighted a chord and drug it down a few places in Piano Roll View. And here's the kicker ... it was still frozen from Saturday, and had never been unfrozen.

I loaded one of the Auto-Save files, exported the Midi track from it, and was going to import it in to the main project. When I opened the main project back up, it started working fine again on it's own without having to import the Auto-Save projects Midi file.

So ... I don't know if when you freeze a track and close the project, it unfreezes the track and refreezes it when you open up the project again, and somehow the Midi got screwed up during that process ... or well ... I have no clue really. I've never seen anything like that before.

There does seem to be some weird stuff going on for sure.

I do know that I've never had my wife come running in the room yelling, "what the hell is that?"...
I told her the only thing I knew...it's X2 and it won't stop doing whatever it is it's doing. So I killed it.
I will never be a good enough tech to help define or solve the stuff that happened during that project.
I'm left with moaning a groaning and just about over that too. :)

I'd like to get a keg and do a project with you....and film it! No that'd be funny right there.

Mike - have you tried re-initializing Sonar?

hold the shift key down on your keyboard as you double click on the Sonar icon to open it.

that will start the re-initializing process.
