Umm... Vocal clips do not contain audio anymore?

Umm... Vocal clips do not contain audio anymore?

So I have several V-Vocal clips scattered throughout my project. In the middle of my mixing, I realized that some of the V-Vocals did not play. So I checked everything, making sure nothing was muted, etc. Then I finally double-clicked the clip to open V-Vocal and realized--it contains no waveform! It's completely empty! Then I checked some other V-Vocal clips, and same thing... anyone know how to recover this? I am borderline freaking out right now. A lot of V-Vocal clips in this project.

Sonar X1 Producer Expanded 64-bit
Computer: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4Ghz, 8GB RAM, Windows 8 
Interface: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2

    Does your back up project have the same thing? I would check that first, before freaking out

    Is the audio SOUND missing, or just the waveform?

    Yea, if the sound is there, but no wave form, you can re-compute the wave forms, by deleting the Pic Cache or re-computing the waveform
