Unable to add more soft synth. Sonar 8.5 LE

Hi,
I'm a user of Sonar 8.5 LE.
Am facing a problem in adding new soft synths (VST) to my project.
I already have 7 tracks in which I've added various Dimension Pro instruments.
However, after the 7th. track, I'm unable to add more instruments.
Under Insert->Soft Synth, all the options are greyed out.
Is this a limitation of 8.5 LE or is my laptop maxing out?
I use a Dell Latitude D630 Core 2 Duo (1.7 GHz) with 2 GB of Ram.
Very frustrating :-(

Yes, it is a limit of LE.
But is should be limited to 8, not 7. It's possible that another synth (most likely Dreamstation) is loaded in the Synth Rack, even though you may not be using it.

To work within the confines of LE, I would suggest saving your project as a new version.
Bounce the DimPro tracks to audio, then delete the synth tracks. Also delete the iterations of DimPro from your synth rack.
You will then have room to build new tracks, and insert more iterations of DimPro (or any other synth)

Understand that LE is intended to give you a taste of how Sonar works, and to encourage you to upgrade to the full version, if you want more capability.

Yes, LE is limited, and yes, X1Studio supports unlimited VST instruments.
Bear in mind that there will be a practical limit, based on how many synths your computer can actually handle.
This will vary depending on the capabilities of your particular machine.
