Unable to import and etc.

Hi!  I have read the help for the program concerning importing music into the editing program.  I have tried to open music files from the menu once the program is opened, and also by dragging the file to the Editing Button.  However, I am not able to get any of the music to import into the program unless it has been ripped from a CD with the Pyro CD Ripper.  What am I doing wrong?  Also, I used to have Music Creator and I just got Pyro because my computer crashed.  Alot of things are different. . .Am I able to slide pieces of the music over?  It doesn't seem so but maybe I am doing it wrong? Also, I can't magnify the sound wave any bigger than the 1x zoom.  Is it possible to do more?  If I hit insert marker it inserts where the Now Time is as the song is playing-can I reset it to insert the marker where I am clicking for it to be?  Thanks for your help!!
