Unable to import videos in Sonar x1 producer edition

Hello,

I have been all the morning on this problem and now I kind of give up....
I have 2 avi files, 2 .mov files, 2 wmv files,2 mpeg files, none of them can be imported into Sonar X1 producer edition.

I keep having the error message:

"Unable to import video - Unrecognize file format or invalid file.The specified module could not be found."

Now I have just read the help files, it says: " It is presently only possible to export QuickTime [QuickTime, not SONAR.
"


My system runs on a 64bit windows pro platform, both AVI or at least wmv should work isnt' it?

    First, if you have an X1 question, you can post in the X1 forum.

    You say you're running 64 bit windows, but which Sonar? 32 or 64 bit? The situation is worse with 64 bit Sonar. No quicktime support, and limited support for only a few codecs.

    I'm a bit surprised about the problem with wmv files, they are pretty well supported in Sonar.

    On 64 bit Windows with 64 bit Sonar, I have the best luck with an avi file using the mjpeg codec. Coming in second is avi with mpeg4 codec.  Mpeg-1 files will work, but mpeg-2 files will not.

    What codecs did you try in your avi files?

    I am sorry , I did not realize I was in the wrong forum.
    I am using the 64bit version of Sonar X1, I have tried everything, no way to import a single video. I may uninstall and reinstall it.

    I have one question regarding Dimension pro, Ii did purchase dimension 1.2 long ago, If I upgrade to dimension pro 1.5 will it still work with project 5? Any idea?

    I also have a 5 to 10 seconds loading time with Sonar X1, I wonder if it has been installed properly.
