Unable to open audio playback device after driver change on older projects

Since I have updated my audio driver (and don't want to go back) older projects that were recorded at a different sample rate (44.1 kHz vs 48) are not playing and I get the following error mesage: Unable to open audio playback device. I'm assuming the the difference in sample rate is what is causing this.

Is there a way to set (re-set) the sample rate per project to the new sample rate (48 khz).? I cannot find a way other than to re-set the my driver settings which I don't want to have to do each time I open the project. Or can I somehow convert the current project to a new sample rate by somehow duplicating it??? Or am I missing something obvious.

Thanks

PS I've seen some threads there about this issue but they don't address how to correct it in this case.

no, you can't reset old projects to a new sample rate, not without converting to a new project and copying and pasting from one project to the next.  or exporting each individual track and then importing them into the new project at the new sample rate.  you can't just change sample rates for a project like that.

but this shouldn't be happening just because you updated the audio driver.  you didn't say what your soundcard is.  and what is your operating system and which version of sonar are you using?
