Unable to open audio record divice

This just popped up and I can not play back anything. I didn't touch anything. I am using Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 and sonar platinum.

check properties > drivers > playback timing master.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

I changed the  properties > drivers > playback timing master to none. IT plays, but now I don't get any sound at all. any Ideas? PS Thanks for responding.

Do you have any hardware controller set up in Preferences > Midi > Control Surfaces?

You can try deleting it temporarily if you do.

In general, you want the playback and record timing master set to something other than none.
