Unable to select clips because of automation

Hi,
I have created several automation curves, that are now displayed as dotted, green lines, over clips.
As a result, it seems that I can no longer select the clips with a mere mouse click, as I used to.
The automation curves seem to act as a layer, and every time I try to click a clip, it's the curve that gets selected instead.
In all tracks that have no automation, I can still select clips just like before.
Is there a way of selecting the clips "through" the automation layer, or hiding these automation curves?
I've read about shift+clicking the clips, but it seems to have random efficiency: sometimes work, sometimes not...
Any idea?
Thanks in advance! :)

Make sure the edit filter (in red box below) on the tracks in the track view is set to "Clips"

Oh that's perfect! :)
I had read about the edit filter, but I wasn't aware it looked like this.
Thank you very much for the screenshot. Really helpful! Thanks a lot.

Yeah... this was one of my biggest issues with this software version...coming from MC4. Since it was handled totally different in MC4.... but now I'm used to it so it's all good.
