I'm heading toward using MIDI to create piano and fiddle runs or fills to add to the tracks I can record live, which are guitar and voice. I can play keyboard, a little, violin not at all, and I don't own a bass guitar, but want those instruments in some of the stuff I write.
I've read some threads about editing MIDI data in the Piano Roll view and so on, so I'll be exploring that next.
