Unexpected Sonar behavior du jour: Can't mute notes

All of a sudden, in PRV, Alt-right clicking on notes deletes them instead of muting them likes it's been doing normally for years. Even though alt-right clicking to mute notes has been an automatic behavior for me for a long time, I double checked the documentation anyway, and everything seems in order. Why can't I mute notes the normal way any more? Been going on for the last couple projects.

Seems to be working here. Have you checked other tracks/projects? Is Alt-modifier working for other functions like Alt+Left-click inserts a note?

Here's what it was. I changed the background color in PRV to white, and so muted clips essentially disappear. God, that's like a two-line code fix. Don't they QA these things????

Unheard Voice in Wilderness Chapter CXVIII: Sonar has gotten much too cute in color management. It is unnecessarily complex, suffers from bevel-itis, and often there is no satisfactory color solution. There should be a mode whereby the user can get rid of distracting bevels and tell Sonar "I don't care what colors things are. Just make it easy to tell stuff apart"

I changed the color of muted clip outlines to red a few years ago (it's "Muted MIDI Clip Data" in Preferences -> Customization -> Colors). Highly recommend it.

Thank you, I've done that now and it's better. Still hard to see, because it's just the thinnest of outlines and I have the vertical lines in there too, but whatever.

You made the change that precipitated the problem, and now you want to pin it on the Bakers for not anticipating your bad color choice and preventing it?

Sorry, but I'd say that's more like unexpected user behavior du jour.
