Uninstalling Sonar - no Uninstall Commands?
I know, sounds silly. But, I'm finding no Uninstall commands in Control Panel\Uninstall a Program nor under Start\Programs\Sonar Platinum. I can start Platinum and the Control Center and find folders for X1, X3, & Platinum under C:\Progam Files\Cakewalk but find nothing prompting uninstall. I am cleaning up my office computer because of a job change and need to uninstall all my Cake products and Platinum is the last of them - so any ideas on uninstalling these?

Hi. Did you use CCC when installing SONAR? If so, you can right click on SONAR Platinum, and choose uninstall. You should also find it in Control Panel / Uninstall Program (I did). Others may know better. All the best.

Thanks gents. As stated in the OP, there is NO option under Windows Control Panel for Cakewalk Products. Yes, I used CCC to install Platinum but I do not see an uninstall option there. Will go through the link scook.

The Command Center handles all install/uninstall for the products which use it in place of the Windows Control Panel. The Command Center should appear in the Windows Control Panel though. Cakewalk products installed using a regular windows installer should also appear in the Windows Control Panel.

Yep, I did see CCC in the Control Panel. After I couldn't find any uninstall possibilities for the individual programs, I did uninstall it but that did not uninstall the programs. I'm going through the process provided in the link above. Thanks scook!

I believe that it would be even easier to do it all via CCC. Just right click on each item, and choose uninstall. Glad you found a way. All the best.

Uninstalling the Command Center before running the uninstall option in the Command Center for each installer used by the Command Center makes things a little harder. The uninstall programs used by the Command Center are stored in "C:\ProgramData]Cakewalk\Command Center\Cache\uninstallers."

You could install CCC again, and uninstall from there. Would be less of a cleanup, I think. Best of luck.

Not mentioned in the Clean Instructions above is C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk. As a final step verify C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk is removed.

Running the uninstallers from the cache might be just as easy. Although there are probably duplicates. Also this will not handle Addictive Drums or completely remove Melodyne.

Yep, thanks guys. I think I got most of it, including XLN & Celemony items but will check a couple more corners tomorrow. I've got a few more days with this computer. Your help is much appreciated!

From CCC, Right-Click on the product to be uninstalled, and you will see Uninstall as an option in the list that opens. Bob Bone
