Uninstalling X1 Trial

Does anyone know, if I uninstall the X1 trial version, will it take out any of my 8.5 version? When I installed, I used all default folders from the installations program.

Thanks -

Sam

As they are two seperate programs, it shouldn't touch your 8.5 installation.

In my experience, uninstalling any version will often take shared files with it that other versions are still using, despite telling the installer to leave them. Save a copy of all the Shared* and other folders in the Cakewalk program folder other than the SONAR<version> folders, and restore them after you uninstall X1, and you should be okay.

Other than whacking some of this shared content that you can easily restore, uninstalling shouldn't do any damage to program files or registry entries for the other version(s), but there are no ironclad guarantees.
