UpDated update TI Fire wire card - UPDATE

it is dead, it is deceased , it is bereft of life , it is a PC boot killer

My DAW is currently a silent DAW  no sound interface.  Boots as long as the fire wire card is not installed.

Good for you.......that's a great product, excellent driver support, and excellent customer service.
I was going to suggest (in my earlier post) to get a Focusrite (I just got mine a few months ago and just love it).

Which one did you get?

I wish no I just ordered a new fire-wire card.

I already have a Focusrite Saffire Pro 26 i/o the previous model to the new 26 but in a month or three I might just have enough cash to go for a new one, probably be the 40 as it has ADAT in and out, which I do use some times.

Good luck in getting it all back working again. I would have done the same thing...especially if you are still in the shopping stages for new gear. Those Firewire cards are not that expensive and that should hold you for some time.

In the process there is in fact about three or four on the go at this very time, hence the frustration at losing contact with my Saffire Pro.  But all is working again, furry paws crossed.
