Update Or New Install

Running Sonar X3 Prod, and just took the plunge to the Platinum
Update or New Install?
Have had issues in the past going both ways. Please advise?

    New install. leave X3 out of the equation (meaning just keep it on your computer as a separate DAW). There is an option that comes up with the new install, something to the effect of migrate settings, setup or preferences . If you like the way you had your X3 version setup choose migrate, this wont change anything in your current X3 version, it will pretty much set up your preferences the same in Platinum as your preferences were in X3 .
