Updating via CCC, Verbose Mode & locations

I have previously used CCC for the first time in verbose mode to perform my first Sonar update. If I use CCC for the next update, will it install various resources at the locations that I specified in verbose mode in the last update I performed, or will it update to its own preferred default locations?
 
In other words, once I use CCC verbose mode and override the default installation locations, do I ALWAYS have to use verbose mode to override default destination locations?
