Upgrade: Echo Layla3G from M-Audio Delta 66

Yesterday I upgraded my Win 7 64 DAW from my 10-year old M-Audio Delta 66, to the Layla3G from Echo.
So far, it's fantastic. It seems to prefer ASIO mode and the latency is very good.

Recommended.

I had been experiencing strange digital static and other weird stuff with the 64-bit drivers for the Delta66, and decided it was time to take it out of the equation.

Early days, though. I'll report back after more actual studio work with this configuration.

that's odd!  I've been experiencing "digital static" in my Delta 44 the last couple of months.  on the input only - the outputs seem OK.  the Delta 44 & 66 are exactly the same card except the Digital I/O outputs are connected on the 66 and they're not connected on the 44 (but they're still there, just no connector to them!)

I've decided to upgrade as well, but I'm going with MOTU Ultralite Hybrid.  won't be here until thursday.

    good luck with your layla!

Ive gotten weird digital noise on input as well when recording vocals. That is why I dont use the delta 44 I have except to open pro tools sessions on my second DAW when needed on m-powered pro tools.

I have a gina 3G. I actually use the WDM drivers.. WDM has always seemed to work better for me, but Im on XP and 32 bit-

I have said this before and Ill say it again- I like the sound of the gina 3G bettert han the delta 44- It seems like there is more clarity on the high end-
