Upgrade from X3 Producer to Platinum

Greetings,
I want to upgrade to Sonar Platinum, but keep X3 running on the same machine - just in case I need the older version to make sure that certain projects run okay.
Have there been any issues with having both installed on the same machine, etc.? I have done this in the past with earlier versions of sonar, and it seemed to work okay, but I thought I would check before installing Platinum on the same machine that I have my X3 on.
Thanks!

No problem Phil, I run Sonar 8.5, X3, and Platinum all on the same computer. Never had any problems, in fact a few times when Plat corrupted a project, I was able to open it in X3, re-save and get back to work.

I believe it is a pretty common practice. I have X2, X3 and Platinum D through current installed. They do share the current utilities such as the vst scanner. The shared utilities are backward compatible.
