Upgrade issues?

Maybe I missed it but haven't done much editing lately or been active in the forum.  Thinking of upgrading to X3, but it WAS ONLY 12 months ago that many of us went thru upgrading to X2.  I had no issues as far as the upgrade process to X2, but I already have AAS, Addictive Drums and kits, Z3TA+2 and the strum VST.  Should I still do a custom install for all except for the items I already have? Any advice on the upgrade if you have some pro channel add-ins and the existing items above?  I read thru many recent issues and am hoping this will fix some X2a issues and avoid probs with existing items.

Just do a custom install and deselect anything you already have.

When it comes to Sonars own plugs allow them to install again just not the instruments like z3ta, Rapture, and Dim Pro.

Kind of in the same boat. But I had just switched from Cubase instead of upgrading to X2.
I have the AAS bundle also and the three session VIs I already got from upgrading my Korg NanoPad. The same is true for DimPro and Rapture. I already have them, so I opted to not install them a second time into X3 since they're the same versions and X3 automatically links to them.
I figured I could load them later if needed. But they aren't. Now I'm hoping for ideas of what I can do with these VIs? I already moved my first set of the Session players to our two tablets. AAS tells me I can have them installed on two at a time and since I have the full versions on my tower linked in X2a/3 I don't think I need them there. But I still wind up with an extra set of AAS Sessions, Dimpro and Rapture? Any ideas?
(CW has already informed me that they're all NFR).

Edit: Btw, the install, went through fine and smooth even without the 'extras'.

I actually installed "everything" just to test it, and installed fine. It looked like the installer skipped some things I already own (but not sure). Rapture 1.22 did install, but saw the serial number of what I already had. When you first launch X3, it will scan existing plug-ins (and use the same VST folder paths you have defined for X2a). X3 found everything without issues, did its audio profile thing, and was good to go.

I did not download the loop files or Dim Pro 1.5 files to save time with the upgrade (I *believe* the loops are duplicates of X2a, and Dim Pro 1.5 definitely is).
