Upgrade question confusion
I'm not understanding this, what are the differences between these 2 upgrade options? Cakewalk SONAR Professional Upgrade from any SONAR Cakewalk SONAR Professional Upgrade from SONAR Studio wouldn't the 2nd choice be included under the first?

You pay less if you already own a version of Studio (or Producer).

I know that, both offer upgrades to Professional to previous owners but what is the difference? Home Studio to Professional costs less than upgrading any version of Sonar to Professional. I'm assuming different features aren't included in one or the other.

Are you looking at Which version is right for you? Oh, I see. You are referring to "Sonar Home Studio n" which I believe is a product out of Cakewalk's past, but I think for the upgrade, they're referring to the 'Studio' level of previous Sonars.

"Any version of Sonar" means all the older/cheaper options, as long as they were marketed as "Sonar" "Sonar Studio" refers to a specific content level, you get a greater discount by upgrading from this level. All that matters is that the Store knows what you've bought already and will automatically give you the best discount based on that. It may not show it while you're browsing, but press the "Buy Now" button and it will work out the best price.

I think I have it now. So 'Any Other Version of Sonar' just means older non Producer versions.

It means, if you had the latest and greatest you get the biggest discount. If you had a mid range version or the greatest but older version, you get a medium discount. If you had "any other version of Sonar" you still get a discount, but not as much. If you've never owned Sonar, you're buying it for the first time, you pay full price. Let the Store tell you what your discounted price is.

Yeah, a long list of prices like that is hard to compare. You should be looking here where Cake have a table of prices. Much easier.
