Upgrade to CbBw from SPlat ver 23.10.0 Bld 14 2017.10?

So, I am relocated and setup a new StudioCat i7 with SPlat 2017.10.  I have followed the transition to CbBw (thank you, thank you), and now find that everyone is waiting for a Sept 2018 update.  Do I need to do a separate install of CbBw, get an update to Splat, stay put with 2017.10, or do something else?

    2017-10 was the last version of Platinum. CbB installs like previous SONAR upgrades (think upgrade from X3 to Platinum NOT update from Platinum 2017-09 to Platinum 2017-10). IOW, it has its own program, programdata, Cakewalk Content and user folders. It shares all the utilities and DX plug-in folders like previous versions of SONAR. After installing CbB both Platinum and CbB will be available.
     
    The reason to have Platinum installed are the bundled plug-ins not included with CbB. The reasons to have CbB installed are the bug fixes, new features and support.
     
    CbB 2018-08 (the August release - releases usually happen at the end of the month just like SONAR) should be out soon. A planned feature needed to be delayed. Removing it resulted in 2018-08 being late.
