Hi again Thomas
I would 100% advise anyone who has purchased a VS-20 to consider upgrading to a more sophisticated version of Cakewalk software. The version of GT4 the VS-20 comes with is a 'lite' version of the GT software and, although it's fine for getting you started in digital recording, it will soon prove to be very limiting.
The full version of
Guitar Tracks Pro4 would be an excellent choice for sure, but I'd also recommend having a good read through this thread:
http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2184640 I'm not certain whether the offers I mention are still current, but definitely check out the links in that thread for details about
Music Creator 5,
SONAR Home Studio 7, and the newer
SONAR X1 Essentials.
Also, because of Cakewalk's excellent upgrade structure, as a registered user of GT4, you will be able to purchase any of their other software (aside from MC5) at a significantly discount over the full price.
If you need any more help and advice, just post back in this thread with your questions Thomas.
Steve
