Use of Lexicon Alpha with X1

Has anyone used this device?
My intention is to provide pre-recorded tracks on X1, route them to Main, and connect Main to the Alpha output. Then use the Alpha to record one or two tracks while monitoring the existing tracks via the Alpha.

Will this work? Any problems? Other solutions you might suggest?

    chuck: looks like a standard usb interface..should run with no issues ... Windows 7(32 and 64 bit)/Vista (32 and 64 bit)/XP (32 bit only) USB Drivers V2.7....http://www.lexiconpro.com..duct.php?id=7#downloads
