If I were in the market for a bicycle salesman I think I'd want a new one.

That's why I'm not looking in the bicycle salesman market,  used or otherwise.

Imagine getting all those spokes in tune...

You'd be better off making drum hardware out of them.

Mooch is too busy planning the wedding. I think he quit his bicycle seat removal job.

I didn't realise that was his profession.  I thought he just collected them to sniff as a hobby.

My father in law (rest his soul) was planning something along that line for his retirement.

He built a nice second garage behind the house and used to ride around the town in the nice neighborhoods on trash night looking for "treasure" in the trash piles.

He found many things including bikes. His plan was to fix them and resell them at the flea markets.

    He had the garage......

He collected the bikes and other junk.....

He collected more bikes and more junk....

    He collected even more junk......

Eventually, he could not get into that second garage without resorting to gymnastics, which at his age was durn near impossible. Forget getting into garage #1 for the same reason.

He never did get around to fixing those bikes.....

Although I do have to admit this much.....as our girls were growing up, we never had to buy a single bike, nor buy a single lawn mower either.

When he passed on..... what a freaking job we had to deal with cleaning out the piles of junk he had accumulated..... BUT....as quickly as we carried it to the curb and stacked it into a huge pile.... (it was about 12 feet deep from the curb and about 30 feet in length and a good 5 feet high....

Yup... you guessed it... cars and pickup trucks were stopping and loading it up.

Kind of like putting something by the edge of the road with a sign that says "Free!" - It just sits there.  But, change the sign to "$20" and someone will steal it before morning.

I'm gonna try that with Mooch.

I'm thinking $5 though. I wouldn't want to take advantage of a legitimate purchase should it occur.
