Useing Software From A Tablet to control Sonar

Hi all

I am a bit confused by the apps etc that we can get for controlling Sonar and other Daws form Tablet's , Phones I Pads etc....

So they run wireless this will mean we need to have a wireless card enabled in our computer ?

Ive always thought due to latency it is best to have all wireless disabled on a audio computer ?

Thoughts ?

There is an Android App that will control Sonar, and a host of other
DAW's, called Touch DAW...it will work either via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth...

There is a video on  the site in the Android Market...
    Haven't tried it...but might...

Ive seen them but are they not going to cause latency due to wireless ?

No wireless card on the computer. It just has to be connected to the router like cat5 cable. Then the tablet communicates with the daw through the router. I have tried a few and not so happy results. I have found you to start and stopping recording from another room. Other tasks are slow or are hard to do. In a later date I am sure these problems will be ironed out.

Ahhh that makes a lot of sense I am nowhere near my router to get the Daw hardwired into it though :(
