Using Axiom 25 knobs with ACT synthesizers

I have set up a couple of synths to use the knobs on my Axiom to do filter sweeps and such.  However, I have to turn the knobs ridiculously (actually, unuseably) far to get the VST knobs on the screen to turn.  Is there a way to change this that anyone knows of?  Like, I have to turn the knob on the Axiom all the way around 3 full circles to move the knob on the VST screen from one side to the other.

Can it be made more sensitive?

Also, I haven't tried it yet, but will Cakewalk record the filter sweep in MIDI using the knobs this way?

Not exactly sensitive, but there are settings in the Axiom that they call acceleration curves that allow you to get more change with less rotation. Look up acceleration curves in your Axiom manual.
