What I'm getting at is that under Win 7, all the inputs look the same in SONAR, whether they are digital or analog at the interface. In my main Patchmix session, the physical input named "S/PDIF L/R" sends to "Host ASIO In 13/14", and Shows up as "ASIO ASIO In 13" on the drivers tab in SONAR. I've given it the friendly name "S/PDIF In", so when I open the drop-down to choose an input for a track, I see Left S/PDIF In, Right S/PDIF In, and Stereo S/PDIF In.

Like I said, I haven't tried WDM for a while, but the Patchmix session setup and presentation of the inputs to SONAR should work basically the same way. So the question is what "Host" input is the strip sending the physical S/PDIF input to in your Patchmix session?

The EMU site is back now, but no Win 7 drivers for the dock. I'm surprised, but maybe not much has changed from Vista to W7?

I know they don't repair these docks if they break (phantom power quit working on mine, they told me to buy a new one) so I hope they are not planning to discontinue the line.....

But when I go to the "Contact us" page, I see they have posted this "qualifier"....

["With regard to Windows 7 drivers and support for E-MU products:

We currently do not have specific Windows 7 support or a Windows 7 driver release for E-MU products at this time. Our preliminary testing shows that our Vista drivers when used with Windows 7 perform as well as they do under Windows Vista for most users. You can download and install our Windows Vista drivers from our website. We are keeping a log of known issues specific to Windows 7. We do not have an official release date, but are tracking the issues closely and will notify our users via our newsletter and website as soon as we commit to a new release."]

So I guess I'll forge ahead.....
