Using IE: No character formatting, img icons, etc.
Hi- Since FF 6.x isn't working for the CW forums, I'm using IE instead. When I open the reply window I don't have the icons for formatting, inserting links, etc. -- the space above the text box is just blank. I have the smilies, but that's it. I just updated to IE 9 thinking that might help, but no change. FF is my main browser, and I'd rather not install yet another. I'm not crazy about Chrome, and I'm sure there must be a way to get IE to show those icons (?). Thanks- -Susan P.S. If fixing the FF problems is really as easy as updating ASPPlayground for free, I wonder why CW doesn't do that. It's pretty obvious that plenty of people are using FF 6.x, what with the (more than usual) run-on paragraphs, etc.

Never mind. I see if IE is zoomed >100% those icons disappear. Boo. @CW: Please upgrade ASPPlayground! -Susan

I thought I read somewhere that FF is working, you just have to delete the cookies the forum sets. I'm still on FF 3.6 so I can't verify.

It "works" in that I can access the forums, but quoting, new lines, etc., are still broken. If I try to quote your msg for eg., I just get an HTML space character, and my bet is all these lines will run together even though I just started a new one... Thanks- -Susan Edit: Yep - still broken!:)

ProjectM I'm on IE9 - it works here IE9 works here, too, as long as the zoom isn't >100%. I haven't tried it lower. The reply to Bub above was with FF 6.x, which doesn't work with the current (outdated) version of the forum software. Thanks- -Susan

Wow! I have mine set to 100% but when trying to zoom to something else it disappears. Guess I haven't noticed since I never zoom my browser. I think that's why I missed your second post too. Or it could be Bub's avatar

mmmm...I wonder if you clicked on the broken page icon at the top of IE9 that that might help a tad...it is the compatibility mode...
