Using Korg Nanokontrol in Sonar

I have Sonar Producer X1, but am mostly still using 8.5.3. I am having trouble getting the Korg NanoKontrol to work as a conitrol surface in Sonar. Any tips? It sure would be nice if there were a preset for it!

What version of Windows are you running?  I had problems early on with mine because there is a limit on MIDI devices in Windows XP (which I was using).  I had to uninstall some other devices before I could get it to work.

I did a little more digging and it looks like Windows 7 has the same MIDI device limit (i.e. 10) as previous versions of windows.  Check this out for a solution:  http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=1923991&mpage=1

Thanks, JM24. I will take a look at the links. Are you using the Nanokontrol in Sonar. MSR, I have run into that MIDI device limit problem before, but that is not the case with this situation, as the Nanokontrol does show up as a MIDI device in Sonar. I can get it to show up as a control surface too, but cannot get it to work.

I cannot get the NanoKontrol to show up in MIDI Devices in the 64-bit version of Sonar. It shows up in the 32-bit just fine. I did install the 64-bit drivers, but never could get it working in 64-bit Sonar.
