Using Loops playback problem

Hi
I am using  Death Metal guitar loops.  They are 155bpm.
When I drag them into X1 they playback out of tune even though I set the tempo at 155.
I have found that by groove clipping them this sorts the issue, do I really have to do this all the time?
Thanks

what format are they in ?

how are you bringing them in ?

remember via the browser you can set the loop to match tempo OR stay as is..

    They are wav.....
Dragging and dropping as I say I have sorted it by grove clipping but I dont beleive that is what I need to do.

It sounds like they may be plain WAV files and do not contain the special information needed to tell SONAR their original tempo and key. Loops are usually created with that special information in the file and SONAR imports them as loops (Groove clips) automatically.
