Using Sonar to mix sound for a live performance.

I am looking for resources (forums, discussions, how tos, etc.) about using Sonar as a mixing console during live performances.

I learned about Plugin Delay Compensation (PDC) and how to disable it. And I found this latency list for Wave plugins, http://www.wavesupport.net/content.aspx?id=2213, which has been VERY helpful.

Does anyone know where to find latency specs for the Sonitus or other plugins?

I tried setting up a sidechain compressor and had trouble keeping the audio engine running at the low latency settings. Any advice on that?

Thanks!

I also found this discussion about using Sonar live and using the firewire cabel for a snake.

why would you want to disable PDC?

You disable PDC so a plugin on one channel or bus will not add latency to everything else.

I can't help you with specs on the latency for sonitus plugins, but your question about setting up sidechaining and having trouble keeping the audio engine running at low latency we'll need to know more about your soundcard, driver settings and computer.
