Using Step Sequencer to create drum beats

While playing the project I want to record drum beats in step sequencer. I want to loop the 4 measures in step sequencer while the project plays.
 
Possible?
 
Also when I browse for drum loops in the browser, how do I drag it into SD3 Step Sequencer so I can edit the loop in step sequencer?

    For looping, just grab the right edge of the SS clip in the track view and drag it later to "roll out" as many iterations as you need.

    To convert MIDI clips to SS, first drag them to a MIDI or Simple Instrument track associated with SD3, and then right-click and choose Convert to Step Sequencer


    It also occurs to me that you can drag a MIDI clip from the browser into a cell in SD3, and have it loop the pattern for you. Or you could use the Matrix, or, or, or...   Almost too many ways to do some stuff.
