Using Z3TA+ 2's Audio Inputs in the modulation matrix when using Cubase.

Using Cubase 5.5.3 and Z3TA+ 2.1 .  I want to use Z3TA+ 2's Audio Inputs in the modulation matrix.  The only way to do this is for Cakewalk to release a separate version of Z3TA+2 which Cubase 5.5.3 recognises as an fx rather than an instrument.  This is what a number of software developers have done with their plugins - Predator, Synthmaster 2.5, DCAM Synth Squad, FM8 etc.    Are Cakewalk planning on doing this?  I think all versions of Cubase 5 and 6 have the same situation (probably earlier versions aswell - I can't remember).
