    super indecisive.

But I've found some interfaces that will suit my needs better than the rack.  Don't get me wrong, its a sweet piece, and sounds fabulous, but I think im going to get the RME UFX so I can get some portability with my laptop too.  I have a MacBookPro with an i7 and being able to get some portability would be a big advantage.  Plus the drivers and latency of the UFX are ROCk solid for both PC and Mac.  Again, not bashing the 700r, it was a gem.  Excellent converters and Pres not too shabby either.  The I/O is ridiculous.

If anyone wants to double up their I/O, let me know!

BTW, keeping the console! and reallllly digging X1

Too late dude... bought an RME fireface and euphonix MC Mix and MC Control.  Running Pro Tools 9 on my hackintosh.  I'm kinda shocked no one is jumping on this.  Throwing in the $150 home made 2U rack mounted "patch bay" I built with 8 neutirk connectors and mogami cables.  Will include 8.5.3 as well, with Dimension and other Software (transfer registration).  Anyone?

Maybe cuz you were telling everyone it was broken for a while on here and you had to take it back to cake to get the firm stuff sorted all that is in your past posts.

Well the firmware stuff was Cake's fault, and they actually had to replace the board.  AND its still under warranty.  But thanks Norrie, for instilling confidence in potential buyers...

Sorry man but You shot yourself in the foot a while back when in your thread
    "
If I start a thread about the V Studio 700 and PT9, will it get removed? "

    You said......

I've decided to keep it.  AND   I'll keep enjoying my V Studio.  If it aint broke...

Sorry man but that aint a good thing to say If it aint broke.

Then try and sell it...... FYI this was after your firmware issue.

I think anyone who would be buying one second hand would want to know the truth and that the board had been changed and for what reason.

Cake and Roland are fantastic to deal with so if its in warranty then whatever it is would get fixed........

I would recommend anyone to buy a VS700!!!! But not one from someone who says its broke then puts it up for sale

I also put up a post about hey they replaced the board in one day and it worked fine ever since.  I was also told that I was not the only one who had the issue, so it was not a user error.  I followed their directions word for word and have always taken great care of it. Furthermore, I had every intention of informing any potential buyers about the service Roland had done on it.

As for my wishy washiness regarding the sale, I was apprehensive because my planned studio project was a big one.  Gutting my computer and rebuilding it, installing Mac OSx alongside 7 64, new interfaces, fresh installs, new control surfaces.  Now that I've taken the plunge (and am quite happy with the versatility, sound and workflow of my new system), be assured it will get sold.

"if it aint broke DOT DOT DOT" DONT FIX IT.  That comment had nothing to do with the service done on my system.

Any potential buyers can come listen and watch the thing in action.  Every function and feature of this system works perfectly.

You never said if it aint broke dont fix it you said I am off to enjoy my v studio If It aint broke.

I wasnt looking for an argument man!

I was simply telling you it was easy for all to see that you had said It might be broke and had been broke before and you didnt mention any of that in your ebay post ? so thats not informing anyone now is it ?

I was only leting you know how it might look to others as I for one was thinking about buying it as a second Vs700 unit for my studio but after this you have no chance mate ! god knows what you have been doing with it or if you even have one.

I dont know what to beleve nor do I really care so will leave it at at.

plenty more going on in my life than to wory about you not knowing how to keep your story straight from one thread to another.

Well Dimaman, we'd all like to see you sell it. But next week you might find you still want it. We're on the tips of our toes waiting to see which way you go next. **** slappin is a real art, one you should learn the consequences of first. I think you should consider the V700R as an instrument rather than an interface. Perhaps an addition to a larger system, one that you will learn in time.

**** slapping is my specialty :)

Norrie:  I'm going to find out when you are selling your car.  I'm going to fly to Scotland, order some Blue Label and deliver a personal message to every potential buyer, containing "information" about your car breaking down, and questioning the validity of whether you are actually even the owner of this car.  If there is a factory recall, they will sure as hell know about it.  A flat tire will be labeled "emergency break down".  I'll make sure to pick apart your ad and quote things like "had problems" from a line that says "Never had problems".  I know its none of my business, but you seem to enjoy hanging around my thread and sabotaging my chances of selling this thing, maybe its a hobby I can take up (while I'm not **** slapping people of course).

CRG:  Love the V Studio, but since day one I was attempting to somehow integrate with PT9 and other DAWs.  I found a better solution.  Have no issues with the 700, love (most) of the community, even some are acting as though I've betrayed them somehow.  Have tried to help out when I can.

It's a simple fact of the V Studio not matching my requirements anymore, and thats that.

Duno what your geting at man ?

Why would I want to share info with him for a start ? After all ive seen from him I would prob end up thinking it was a better Idea tradeing it for a toaster !

I said I was sorry and that was that but if he refuses to see that he cant keep his story straight from one thread to another then thats his lose not mine as I said I would have been interested in a second unit and am looking for one in or an Octo-capture in another thread but after seeing his other posts regarding his unit I thought better of it.

I was simply telling him perhaps this was the reason for no sale that and the fact he changed his mind about seling it every 5 mins! One min it was the rack then it was the unit then it was both then just tthe rack then both again or whatever he was feeling at the time then offering this that and the next thing if he could throw in a dog and hos granny to seal the deal I think he would do.

I hope he sells it I honestly do. It would be better of in the hands of som one who can appreceat it ! I just let him know what I thought was a huge reason for some one not to buy it.

I can't recall this thread at all. Which troubles did you had exactly before changing the board?  I'm just wondering if mine is ok or not...

By the way, it's too bad I'm buying mics right now cause I would grab your VS rack right freakin' now.  Good luck and if you're still stuck with it next month or so, i'll probably just get it. I don't care about it's defect that was brought back to new condition.

    Thanks!
