V Vocal Install for X3

Recently upgraded to Sonar X3 and a new PC and decided to make a couple of changes to a track I made using X1, but then realised all my V-Vocal tweaks will not load - I just wanted to change the bass track.

I have seen, in the Forum, if you upgrade on the same machine, then V-Vocal is still available.

My question is, is there anyway you can install V-Vocal after X3 has been installed without having to uninstall X3 and re-install x1 and then X3 again? - I can't bear the thought of having to go through this and re-registering all the products again!

Is there anything else that is not backwards compatible?

Run the X1 installer,  select "Advanced" or "Custom" install.  (can't remember what it is called).

Only install the items you actually want,  ie, V-Vocal.  There is no need to fully install X1.

Edit to add:  I should have specified you can do this over the top of X3, you're just adding extra plugins from X1 to it.

Actually you do have to install X1 as V-Vocal is an integral part of the program but as each Sonar version install to its own folder it should be OK.

To assure you haven't over written a new file with an older version in the shared folders just run the latest X3e patch again after you install X1

Thanks Mike V, this worked well. Not only has V-vocal reappeared, but it found 17 more plug ins that I didn't realise were missing.
Only had to re-enter the Sonar registration keys.
