V700 question from non V700 user
Hello
This is a V700 controller question although I don't have a V700 controller! I am making a maschine template based on it.
Is there a way to select channels in the console view using left/right buttons.
Now I've selected the channel I want, can you get it so I can control using a
single
fader on the controller (positioned in exactly the same place regardless of selection)... the
selected
channel. I appreciate there are multiple faders for multiple channels, but I'm just talking about using one control fader control to be used just for the selected channel in console view.
Can you tell me what buttons you press for this?
Thanks...!
(EDIT - Sorry yes wrong forum has been moved).

No.
There are 8 SEL buttons to select a track, a bus or output (depending on mode you are in).
There are bank buttons to go up/down banks of 8 or just one channel, but the actual selection / activation always occurs by hitting the SEL button.
Optionally you could activate a feature that activates a channel if the fader is moved (but here again we are talking about 8 different faders).
You can select the active channel in Sonar and the VS-700 will follow.
Not much help I reckon?

Thanks!... So always banks of 8 really. I guess what I was wondering was whether there was (in effect) "bank of 1" functionality rather than 8 thinking about it.
