V700C and Qwerty functions

V700C and Qwerty functions

Hope it isnt just me but...I don't seem to be able to use the "shift" "Ctrl" "Alt" keys on my 700C for the same functions as I do on my qwerty keyboard? For instance, holding CTRL and dragging to copy, holding Alt to highlight etc.... I am running latest versions of everything ( I am an 8.5.3 user) and all is up to date. Its a bit of a drag having to jump from the console to the qwerty all the time. Is it some kind of mapping that I just cant find?

    What would you drag with on the V700C? Have you tryed to select-copy-paste?

    Cheers Craig....say you highlight a clip to copy while holding the CTRL button on qwerty to just drag and drop the copy using the mouse? the CTRL button doesnt seem to function on the 700. Likewise, say you want to highlight a section holding down ALT while sweeping with the mouse? cant do it with the 700...is it the mouse???

    The modifier keys on the 700 C are design to work with the 700 C only. They are not a substitute for the CTRL, SHIFT and ALT keys on a standard QWERTY keyboard. You also can't use QWERTY SHIFT, CTRL or ALT keys with the 700 C.
     
    You can do all kinds of selection and editing in SONAR with the 700 C by using the jog wheel and the modifiers on the 700 C. Definitely read through the manual and/or press F1 when you have a control surface up in SONAR.
