VS 100 not working in Sonar X3 Producer

Hi,
I have X3 producer on my Windows 7 OS 32 bit and I updated the VS 100 drivers.  In X1, the VS 100 controlled the Transport module, which I really liked.  Now, it does not control anything.  It shows that it is assigned to a single track, there is a color change to the left of the track,  but I can not get it to control the transport functions in X3.  Any suggestions on how I can fix it?

    Did you remember to go to Edit/preferences/midi/control surfaces and then 'add control surface' (little yellow star in the top right hand corner) and check the input and output ports are set to VS100?  I forgot that at first when moving from W7 to W8.1 recently.  VS100 working fine under W7 and now 8.1 too.  Good luck!
