VS 700 C and everything else!!!

Hi there...

I have 2 DAWs in my studio... Sonar (waiting for X1b) and Cubase (just upgraded to version 6).

As a VS 700 system owner I was thinking:

- Why not to develope drivers that makes VS 700 C matches other DAWs further than simply MCUs protocols?

They have almost the same functions... The more that could happen is to have different names to equal functions...

I'll love to control Cubase thru my VS 700 C... With all this buttons and knobs,,, The surround joystick...Channel Strip Control...

What you guys think?

    If it aint broke dont fix it ............

    At the momment we dont have X1 fullly integrated with the  VS-700 untill the X1b patch comes out

    After that I would rather see advancement in the VS-700 in regards to Sonar rather than for another Daw

    If I wanted to use it with multiple Daws I would have bought a mackie control but like you said we have MCU in the VS-700 so it can be used with other Daws

    I would rather Cakewalk and Rolands time was spent on there products rather than 3rd party.

    Just my thoughts though.

    I agree with you, no doubt...

    But this product could have a longer life if gets more "useable" to other DAWs...

    But I also like to have it working properly with the DAW it was made to be...

    How the wether in Scotland Norrie?

    I think the Product will have a great and long life I would like to see some updtaes to it like an extra bank of faders etc like the Mackie I think that would be an awesome feature !

    The weather here is wet as usual haha typical weather for scotland

    Yeah, a closer attention to the product isn't a bad idea... Plus the extra faders... They could be, already, with this homework done... But we had discussed it a lot...

    And yes... Nice and warm indeed... No earthquakes...No vocanos... But don't get depressed... We also have real bad politicians and taxes for everything you can imagine.
