VS-100 + A-300PRO!
Bit of help for a newbie! So I have both and a X1 studio. Now heres the problem, obviously vs-100 is working as it is....transports work, so does the slider, but the EQ doesn't. What really annoys me is, that when using the keyboard it's controlling the vs-100 (lights lit up on buttons and so on). So is there a way to get keyboards keys do just what they suppose to do...play the notes? Thanks for the patience....really have to point out that I am newbie in learning(hopefully)!

ArcticSoul Bit of help for a newbie! Welcome! We can't always help here, but we'll try. You'll find the VS-100 forum doesn't get a lot of activity, but there are a few of us that jump in when we can. So I have both and a X1 studio. Now heres the problem, obviously vs-100 is working as it is....transports work, so does the slider, but the EQ doesn't. When you say the EQ doesn't work, what exactly is your situation? Live Mixer? Recording EQ into Sonar? Controlling EQ in Sonar? Each scenerio would have a different answer, and each can get quite long What really annoys me is, that when using the keyboard it's controlling the vs-100 (lights lit up on buttons and so on). So is there a way to get keyboards keys do just what they suppose to do...play the notes? Sounds to me like you have the keyboard plugged in to the midi ports on the VS-100, and that the VS-100 is listening to the keyboard. If you connect the A-300PRO directly via USB (like the VS-100) and not through the VS-100 this should not happen. Even going through the VS-100 it shouldn't happen, but I don't know how to adjust for that (I don't setup that way). The best thing to try is to feed them individually with their own USB Midi connections, and see if that fixes it. Thanks for the patience....really have to point out that I am newbie in learning(hopefully)! You will soon learn that none of us stop learning It's not just newbie's!

The APRO is connected via USB? There goes that theory I'm not sure what to suggest with that one - but since they are both Roland/Cakewalk products, I'm sure their support line can help you out. That shouldn't be happening, and I'm sure it's just a quick setting somewhere. Good luck with your problem!
