VST 2 and VST 3 CRASH

Well apparently when you mix vst two and three on the same track sonar x3 crashes.
For instance I can run Nectar 2 but if I add any UAD plugs I immediately get a crash. However remove the Nectar and I can add a bunch of different powered plugins. Is that just the nature of the beast or is it just me? Thank you gentlemen.

I too have noticed issues mixing VST 2 and 3, even non-UAD plugins. Some times a crash,
other times the audio engine cuts out.

Just a little bump here. So transcending and I are the only two people having a problem with this? That's hard to believe but stranger things have happened.

Perhaps it's time for a bug report.

So have you tried this with vst 's 2+3  bundled with sonar?
Also please disable 64 bit precision engine and make sure you are on X3c.
Anything in the windows event viewer?

    Hi Alex, thanks.
I will go down and check this morning. I'm sure I'm on X3 C, this is a brand new system and it's the only DAW program I've downloaded to it. I didn't notice any VST 3 plugs bundled with Sonar. (All the UAD are VST2) At least none show up in the effects drop down. Only Celemony and Nectar.
    Maybe installed something incorrectly?

Okay the only vst 3 plugs listed are Melodyne and Nectar. Nectar and anything else seems to crash Sonar. Otherwise I can run the Fairchild UAD or Realverb or any of them along with any other VST 2 or DXi plug.

FWIW, I've successfully run the VST3 versions of Melda plugins along side VST2 plugins in the same track.   Since Melda has a free bundle, it might be worthwhile trying them to see if the results are any different.

Yes I've used Melodyne along with the other plugs without a problem. Apparently the problem stems from the Izotone Nectar vocal suite.

Fortunately I'm pretty disappointed with that entire series of plugins so I won't really miss them. Maybe I need to get into them a little deeper but....
    Thanks
