VST Plug In?
I'm considering buying Akai's PitchRight Correction VST Plug-In. Is there reason to believe I can make that work with Home Studio?

For pitch correction, you might want to look at Melodyne also. It does more than just pitch correction. We use it in a "pro" studio environment with great success. Click here to go to their web site.

I may be stating the obvious but make sure that your version of Cakewalk accepts VST plugins (or that you have bought the VST adapter). Syd.

Response to Chaz: I checked out the Melodyne demo on their wesite. Way cool! They specifically mention compatibility with SONAR, but no explicit mention of Home Studio. I assume it works there, too, right?

Response to Syd: Nothing is obvious to me. Thanks for the good advice. I'll check when I get home tonight.

Well, the MelodyneBridge works, or is suppose to work, with Sonar. However, I always Export the files I want to work on and Import them into Melodyne. Then I Export the files out of Melodyne and Import them into Sonar. Should work that way for HS as well. I know this seems like a lot of work, but I really don't think of it because I work quickly. I just do what needs to be done.

Then you don't have a VST Adapter so you can either purchase it separately or in your case since your version is so old, you could upgrade to HS2 or HS 2XL and that includes the VST Adapter.
